WYC cater for all our Members and provides easy access to their boats
Having fun on the water, exploring the area and visiting Potten Island and the Middleway to see the seals
We are in easy reach of other local marinas and are approximately 30 minutes away from the river Crouch
Alternatively, come and socialise in the club with our members and visitors or Spend time working on your boat in the yard

Welcome to Wakering Yacht Club
Wakering Yacht Club is located at Rochford and sits on the river Roach. It is a tidal location with our boats afloat twice a day.
Our club is run by a committee made up from it’s members who manage and operate the club and it’s day to day activities.
A number of members have been involved with the club a long time and some have a history at the club along with their family’s being part of the original formation and setup of WYC.
It’s Committee members and general members also look after the maintenance and upkeep of the club, facilities, yard and pontoons.
But all our members are a team some of which have spent numerous years enjoying, working & socialising at the club. With a combined effort, we strive to make this a great place to relax and unwind of which we are very proud.
We have floating pontoons with space for around 50 boats
Our yard area will hold around 12-14 boats whilst work is carried out on them and we have a small boat storage area mainly for Tenders/Ribs or small sailing boats
Water and Electric is available on the pontoons and within the yard areas.
We have local facilities a short drive away and a cafe and provisions shop within walking distance.

CRUISE TRIPS: Our long term and experienced members who know the area and waterways well, will occasionally arrange cruise events throughout the “afloat” season.
Our last major cruise in 2019 saw us complete a successful trip with five boats, one of which joining later, over a two week period travelling from Wakering into the Thames through the city and into the more relaxing areas in and around Hampton.
After this and owing to the pandemic during the 2020/21 season, not much took place. We have done a few short trips to the East coast with a couple of boats visiting Titchmarsh and parts of the East coast for a number of days, travelling back to Burnham and Fambridge and back to Wakering.
As of now in the 2022-23 season, we are once again visiting some of our favourite places, including the Medway & East Coast and staying at some of the fantastic marina’s we encounter

Your club bar is now open to all our members and their guests on Friday from 19:30 – 23:00 and Sunday Lunchtime from 12:00 – 15:00 With bar snacks available!
